11 former CSSHL named to NHL Central scouting players to watch list

Eleven former Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athletes have been named to the NHL Central Scouting preliminary players to watch list, which was released on Tuesday.

The players to watch list is Central Scouting’s compilation of top prospects from all the major development leagues throughout North America and Europe.

Players with an “A” rating are considered potential first round selections at the 2018 NHL Draft. A “B” rating is considered a potential second or third round selection, while a “C” rating is considered a potential fourth, five, or sixth round selection.

Luke Zazula, Langley, B.C.
Eli Zummack, Kelowna, B.C.

The CSSHL has seen 23 former student athletes selected at the NHL Draft since 2012, including five in the first round: Matt Dumba, Curtis Lazar, Jake Bean, Dennis Cholowski and Michael Rasmussen.
