Wenatchee sign 15 year old Svejovsky

The Wenatchee Wild of the British Columbia Hockey League have signed three-year Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Lukas Svejkovsky.

Svejkovsky, 15, spent the past three seasons with the Delta Hockey Academy, the latest with their Elite 15s team during the 2016-17 season that saw him post 44 points (17-27-44) in 22 games. The 5-foot-7 forward also appeared in one game with the Delta Midget Prep team, netting one assist.

The Point Roberts, Wash. product played two seasons with the Delta Bantam Prep team from 2014 to 2016, accumalting a combined 41 points (11-30-41) in 43 games, along with nine points (2-7-9) in seven post-season contests.

Svejkovsky was selected by the Vancouver Giants in the second round, 36th overall, at the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft. He was recently named to the U.S. Under-17 Select Team that will compete at the 2017 Five Nations Tournament in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
