The 2018 Western Canadian Bantam AAA Championship will be held in Kamloops, British Columbia this year, March 29 – April 1, 2018.

The tournament features elite-level 13 and 14-year-old hockey players from Western Canada, many of whom will be drafted in the upcoming 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

Five teams will compete – the provincial championship teams from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, plus the host or a second BC team (should Kamloops win the BC Provincials), in a round-robin format tournament with the Championship game held on Sunday April 1, 2018.

CSSHL Bantam teams do not qualify for the Westerns.

“The City of Kamloops and the host committee are very proud to host the 2018 Western Canadian Bantam AAA Championship,” said Trevor Streek, co-chair of the event.

“This tournament is a prestigious event that allows elite players to showcase their talents as they get ready for the next phase of their young hockey careers. We look forward to the opportunity to host the teams from the western provinces here in the tournament capital.”

The tournament gets underway on Thursday, March 29, 2018 and runs through until Sunday April 1, 2018 with all games scheduled at the McArthur Island Sports and Events Centre in the Tournament Capital.
