Key Personnel:

Head Coach: Clint Thorton, current head coach of the NW Junior Giants major midget team. Thornton is also Director of Hockey Operations at North Shore Winter Club.

Asst Coach: Kelvin Cech, current assistant coach of the NW Junior Giants major midget team. Cech moved from Alberta in 2012, is also an instructor at the Sentinel Hockey Academy.

Asst Coach: Cam Paddock, a North Vancouver native, is a former Kelowna Rockets assistant captain and European league pro who has recently returned to Canada. He was head coach of the NSWC Peewee A2 program in his first year back, this past season.


The NW Giants is a development program designed to give players in the NW Giants major midget catchment area an opportunity to train at a high level with Major Midget coaches on the ice, and off the ice with leading fitness trainers. The team is based out of the NSWC.

The team is currently made up mainly of NSWC and Hollyburn players. Now in its third year, the program has expanded beyond the 2000 year to include 2002s and 2004s.
