BC Hockey has announced details for the Male Under 15 (U15) and Under 16 (U16) High Performance Programs for the 2015-2016 season.
Male U15 Region Camps and Provincial Tournament
There will be four Male U15 Region Camps held around the province in early April 2016. Registration will open on December 1, 2015. Only players born in 2002 will be eligible to participate.
2016 Male U15 High Performance Region Camps
April 7 – 10, 2016

Based on performance at the Regional Camps, the top 160 players will be selected to participate in the 2016 Male U15 Provincial Tournament. Jamboree-style teams will be formed for the event, which will be held May 5 – 8, 2016 at the Richmond Oval in Richmond, BC.
Male U16 BC Cup
The Male U16 BC Cup will return to Salmon Arm, BC, taking place April 20 – 24, 2016 at the Shaw Centre. The city has hosted the tournament for the past three (3) seasons. The Male U16 BC Cup will see the 120 most talented 15-year-old players in BC play in a jamboree-style tournament, preparing the players for the next step in their developmental process.
BC Hockey evaluators will observe players throughout the province during the 2015-2016 season. Based on their performance during the season with their club teams, players will be invited to attend the BC Cup. Following the BC Cup, the top 44 players from the tournament will be invited to the U16 Provincial Camp in July 2016.
About BC Hockey’s Male High Performance Program
The BC Hockey Male High Performance Program was introduced in 1980 with the mandate to systematically identify and train the province’s elite-level players for high performance hockey sporting events. The overall objective of the program is to increase the chances of athletes from BC to compete provincially, regionally, nationally and internationally with the ultimate goal being selected to Hockey Canada’s National Junior or National Senior Team.
