In their second game on Day 1 of the BC Tier 1 Midget Championships, the Hollyburn Huskies bounced back from a 6-1 opening loss to Prince George to down host North Van 5-3.

On Day 2, the Huskies posted a 6-3 win over Semiahmoo, on a big performance from Mark Fletcher, who scored 4 goals and assisted on another.

The win puts the Huskies in a tie with Kelowna Rockets, who tied Juan de Fuca 2-2 yesterday, and Prince George 1-1 this morning, before closing out North Van 4-1 in the final game of the evening.

Prince George is in third place with 1-0-1, but plays two games tomorrow, against JDF and North Van, so could move into first place with a couple of big wins.

Host North Van will have down PG and JDF on Wednesday to stay in the running.

Semiahmoo, who came in on a hot streak, will also have to win their next two to stay in the running.
