BCHL wraps up regular season, Vees first overall

The BCHL’s 58 game regular season wrapped up Sunday.

All teams are now advancing to the playoffs with the exception of the Cowichan Valley Capitals, who struggled through a 10-41-5-2 season, finishing 16 points back of the 4th place Alberti Valley Bulldogs in the Island Conference.

The Penticton Vees finished in first place overall, with a 40-12-2-3 record, and 85 points, two ahead of the Vernon Vipers in the Interior Conference.

The Wentachee Wild finished third in the conference, and third overall, four points back of the Vipers.

The Prince George Spruce Kings finished at the top of the Mainland division with 33-17-4-4; 11 points up on second place Langley Rivermen.

On the Island, the Victoria Grizzlies edged out the Nanaimo Clippers and Powell River Kings in a tight three way race.

The Playoffs start this coming Friday, March 2.
