BCHL – Playoff Update – Round 1 complete

Surrey Eagles downed Chilliwack Chiefs, in games 6 and 7, after being shut out 3-0 in game 5 on Thursday to advance through to the second round of the playoffs – the last team to get through

The Eagles will now play the Coquitlam Express, who swept Langley – one of four first round sweeps.

In other series, Cowichan Valley downed Powell River Friday night to move on in five games, and will now face Nanaimo Clippers, who swept their series vs Alberni Valley.

On Thursday, Penticton downed West Kelowna in OT to take their series in five games. WK had avoided the sweep Tuesday with their own OT winner. The Vees will meet Vernon, who had advanced over the Wenatchee Wild in five games.

In the two other sweeps, Trail downed PG and will now meet Salmon Arm, who downed the Victoria Grizzlies.
