BCHL update, Vees, Wenatchee, Grizzlies, Caps, and Kings out in front

The BCHL is approaching the quarter way mark in the 2016-2017 season, and   six teams are dominating in the early going, three of them on the Island.

Victoria Grizzlies, Cowichan Valley and Powell River are in a tight race at a the top of the Island Division, with 9 or 10 wins in 16 or 17 starts.

Wenatchee is opening a big lead in the Mainland Division with just two losses in 14 starts. The Chilliwack Chiefs are their closest competitor in the division, with 9 wins in 16 starts.

In the Interior, the Penticton Vees are running away with it, with a 13-2-0 record, five wins ahead of Merritt and Vernon.

In terms of goals for, Wentachee is way out in front with 79 GF, with Victoria and Powell River trailing at 60 GF. Penticton has posted 54.

The real story though is in goals against, with the Vees allowing just 32 in 15 games. Wenatchee are also impressive, in second spot, with just 40 GA.
