The action will heat up again this weekend for the BWC Midget Prep team, as the CSSHL team travels to Penticton to play its first three game series of the new season.
On Friday the team will face off at the Okanagan Hockey Training Centre vs OHA Edmonton, at 5:00 PM.
On Saturday, BWC will meet Manitoba-based Rink Academy, on the big South Okanagan Events Centre rink, also at 5:00 PM.
There should be some extra excitement in the air for both teams, as the BCHL league champion Penticton Vees kick off their regular season right after the game, at 7:00 vs local rival West Kelowna Warriors.
On Sunday, BWC will meet the OHA Red, the OHA’s #1 team, at 9:30 AM.
BWC is currently 2-0-0 in league play, and 4-1-0 overall.
Delta are leading the league at 4-0-0, with Abbotsford based Yale and Calgary based Edge both at 3-0-0.
Delta also have three games on tap on the weekend, and will have an opportunity to go to 7-0-0 with a sweep vs Rink (Friday OHTC, 2:30 PM), OHA Red (Saturday, SOEC, 2:30 PM) Northern Alberta (Sunday, OHTC, 8:00 AM).
Yale will play one game on the weekend vs Pursuit of Excellence at the Winfield Arena Saturday at 4:00 PM.
Edge have a bye weekend.
