A strong exhibition showing from the BWC Atom A1s highlights a productive September for the Bruins at the Atom level heading into the placement period, which starts this weekend and runs until the start of November.

BWC Atom A1

The BWC Atom A1 team enjoyed a 4-0 month, picking up two wins against Semiahmoo Atom A1 by scores of 5-3 and 5-2. They also beat NSWC Atom A1 2-1 and Langley Atom A1 6-4. Last season the Atom A1 Bruins went 18-1-1 in GVC Flight 1, outscoring their opponents 167-17, and went 5-0 in the playoffs to win both the regular season and playoff banners. They look poised to be among the top teams around again.

BWC Atom A2

BWC’s Atom A2 squad won both their exhibition games, downing South Delta Atom A1 4-1 and North Van Atom A1 5-2. They finished fourth with a 9-5-6 record in Flight 1 last season and reached the final four in the playoffs.

The A2s are coached by Ryan Bremner.

BWC Atom A3

The Atom A3 Bruins head into this season looking to improve on their 5-13-2 record from last year in GVC Flight 2. In exhibition play, BWC cruised past NSCW Atom A3 8-2 and fell to Port Moody Atom A1 6-2.

BWC Atom A4

A back-and-forth 7-5 victory over North Delta Atom A2 was the lone game of the exhibition season for BWC Atom A4, who went 10-6-4 playing in GVC Flight 3 last year.

BWC Atom A5

The Atom A5 Bruins played just one exhibition game, losing 9-1 to Port Moody’s A2 Atom team. They were in GVC Flight 4 in 2013-2014.
