After three games the BWC Bruins are at second spot in the Division B pool of the Major Bantam (2000 birth year) STX Shootout in Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
The tournament features many of the top elite bantam teams from the US and Canada (6 US and 4 Canadian), in a mostly Can-Am type of format (cross-over) – the Buffalo Jr Sabres being the only US team in Div B, along with the Bruins, Ottawa 67s, York Simcoe Express and the Mississauga Rebels.
The Bruins downed the Boston Jr. Eagles 2-1 in game 1, then tied Compuware 1-1 in game 2, before falling 6-2 to Chicago Mission in game 3, to post 3 points and a plus minus GF/GA of -3, which puts them in second place at the moment behind Mississauga Rebels, who are 0-1-2, with -1 GF/GA.
On the Division A (USA side), Chicago Mission are on top, downing Buffalo 3-0, York Simcoe Express 6-1 and the Bruins 6-2, to lead with 6 pts and +12 GF/GA.
Honeybaked is also undefeated with 6 pts, but in second with a +9GF/GA, downing Ottawa 67s 6-2, Mississauga Rebels 4-2 and Buffalo 3-0.
Compuware is 3rd spot on the Div A side, with a 2-2 tie vs the Rebels, the 1-1 tie vs BWC and a 4-3 win over the 67s.
The Boston Eagles lost to BWC, downed the 67s 3-1 and tied the Rebels 1-1 and are in fourth in the US division, while the LA Kings are 1-0-2, losing 3-2 to the Rebels, and 4-1 to York Simcoe, while downing Buffalo 3-2.
