BWC E15 looking forward to November schedule

in regular season

November 3, 2017

BWC E15s went 4-3-0 in October, after starting 3-1-0, and are now four points back of Calgary-based Edge in fourth place of the CSSHL E15 division.

Edge are in third place with 9-2-0 record. Both BWC and Edge have played two fewer games than first place Northern Alberta Extreme who are a perfect 13-0-0, and three fewer than second place Delta, at 11-3-0.

Winnipeg-based Rink have only played seven games so far and are 6-1-0, rounding out the top tier of the division, in fifth place at the moment.

Versus top teams, BWC are 1-1-0 with cross-town rival Delta, and 0-1 vs NAX after dropping a 7-1 decision in their only contest so far, in Edmonton on October 14.  BWC have yet to face Edge or Rink.

NAX won two tight 3-2 games vs Delta at in Edmonton October 13 and October 15, and have also won two vs Edge, 6-4 EN and 5-3 in a home and home at the end of September.

Rink have yet to play any of the top ranked teams – but that will change in a couple of weeks.

Looking forward, BWC have eight games scheduled in November, all with teams currently placed below them in the standings. So 16 points possible over the month.

This weekend they’ll match up for two games vs Okanagan on the road in Penticton; then face Yale, PoE, and Okanagan again next weekend at Planet Ice.

BWC will wrap the month with a home and home vs West Van November 24- 25, and then with a game in Victoria vs Pacific Coast on Sunday, November 26.

Whether BWC will be able to gain ground vs the other top teams in November remains to be seen.

Delta will play 1-9-1 Pacific Coast three times, 4-13-0 Pursuit once,  as well Okanagan and Yale in single games – 12 points possible.

Key games for the division will be the two huge three game contests involving Rink, in the final two weekends of the month.

The first will be in Winnipeg November 17, 18 and 19 when Rink hosts Edge. The second will be in Edmonton the following weekend with NAX hosting.

If BWC gets hot, and Rink and Edge can down NAX a couple of times, the standings will be very tight at the end of the month.

Stay tuned.
