BURNABY, AB – Evan Walls scored twice including the game-winner with just two seconds remaining on the clock to lift the BWC Hockey Academy to their 16th straight win as they defeated the Delta Hockey Academy 4-3 on Friday night.

Nathan Pelletier added a goal and assist for Burnaby (16-2-0), while Liam Evanson scored his 10th goal of the season.

Wyatt Elmer, Jacob Kennedy and Andrew Kemp provided the offence for Delta (7-9-0), each scoring once in the game.

After the two teams were deadlocked 1-1 after 20 minutes, Delta took a 3-2 lead into the third period. Evanson evened the score midway through the frame before Walls netted his second of the game with just two ticks left on the clock.

Zakery Myrowich improved to 9-1-0 on the season between the barber poles for Burnaby, making 25 saves in the game, while Tyler McLennan turned aside 47 shots in the Delta crease.

BURNABY, BC – Dane McBeth stopped all 24 shots he faced to earn the shutout as the Yale Hockey Academy were 7-0 winners over the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy to kick-off the BWC Hockey Academy hosted showcase weekend on Friday afternoon.

Bronson Sharp had two goals and a helper for Yale (9-3-0), while Scott Mahovlich also found the back of the net twice. Parmjot Dhaliwal and Jordan Schulting each ended up with a goal and assist, while Brady Lynn chipped in with his fourth goal of the season.

McBeth, who is now 5-2-0 on the season, made nine of his 24 saves in the opening 20 minutes.

Jaysen MacLean and Tyler Smith combined to make 38 saves in the Pacific Coast (0-15-0) crease.

BURNABY, AB – Logan Larock earned his first shutout of the season as the Pursuit of Excellence blanked the Edge School for Athletes 4-0 on Friday afternoon at the Burnaby Winter Club.

Matthew Kowalski scored twice and added an assist, while Alec Zawatsky scored once and setup one other to pace the Pursuit (8-4-0) offence. Aiden Buhler rounded the scoring out with his 12th goal of the season.

Matthew Armitage made 39 saves in the Edge (9-8-1) crease, including 18 in the middle stanza.

Larock, who turned aside 13 shots in the opening 20 minutes, now sits at 3-3-0 on the year.
