BWC Bantam Prep
BWC’s Bantam Prep team are in their first year of competition in the 13 team CSSHL Bantam Prep division, and are currently in the middle of the pack, the #4 BC ranked team, as the league enters its final weekend of regular season play, with only few games remaining.
This season the league added four new teams, BWC, Northern Alberta Xtreme, Delta White, and Pacific Coast.
BWC has hit a bit of rough patch lately, losing their last three contests, and four out of six in February, to fall four points back of seventh place Okanagan.
However in their most recent game, they pressed #2 Yale, losing a roadie 4-3 on this Saturday, February 24, while outshooting Yale 40-35.
BWC have just one regular season game left, matching up next Saturday at home vs #12 Shawnigan Lake.
In their only previous meeting, BWC prevailed 5-4.
Looking back over the season, the big BWC highlights have been winning both games they’ve played against #1 OHA Edmonton, their only two losses of the season (4-3 and 6-2) – as well as posting a win and an OTL vs #4 NAX.
Yale and Okanagan have given Burnaby the most trouble – each has posted three wins vs BWC.
But heading into the playoffs, BWC has got to feel good about their chances – as they’ve shown they can compete and win against the best team in the league.
