March 5, 2013 – On Sunday afternoon, the Burnaby Winter Club Peewee A1 Bruins booked their way to the Tier 1 Provincials. A few hours later, it was the turn of the BWC A2 team to show that they could keep pace, by winning their respective division playoffs and qualifying for the Tier 2 Provincials.
BWC A2 had started the Final Four tournament with a strong performance over Vancouver A1, racking up a half dozen goals en-route to a 6-4 win. They followed up that effort with an important 3-3 tie against rivals North Shore Winter Club A2.
With a chance to win a banner on the line, BWC made Sunday evening’s game against North Delta look easy, as they cruised to a 4-1 victory.
Vancouver, with two wins and one loss, earned second berth into the next round.
