It was a great weekend on the ice for the BWC U-18 prep team. They picked up two wins against the PCHA, beating the Sea Devils 6-1 on Saturday and 3-2 in a shootout on Sunday.

Brady Chin scored twice in the 6-1 win and Keyvan Mokhtari, Jackson Jong Ming Lee, and Connor Alderson all chipped in with a goal and two assists. Cyrus Valk also scored for BWC while Justin Lee had two helpers and Max Daerendinger and Aidan Bar-Lev-Wise each had one. Goaltender Jack Stradiotti stopped 22 of the 23 shots he faced.

Sunday’s game was a much tighter affair. BWC jumped out to a 2-1 lead after goals from Chin and Devan Purhar. Jonny Sheardown had assists on both goals and Mokhtari also assisted Chin’s marker. The second period was scoreless and the game would remain 2-1 until PCHA scored in the third period to force overtime. After more scoreless hockey in OT, the game was decided in a shootout where Tristyn Olson scored the winner for BWC. Stradiotti got another start in goal and made 28 saves in regulation and OT in the win.

BWC improves to 2-2 on the CSSHL season. Their next game is October 4 at home against Yale.
