CSSHL Update – BWC Bantam Varsity (22-5-1)

BWC’s Bantam Varsity squad played four times over the past week.

They are in a battle for second in the division with two games to play, but they’ll need to win both their games and hope that St. George’s can beat Yale (24-5-0) in their final game.

A key game between BWC and Yale was played on Monday night, and it was predictably close.

BWC opened the scoring but Yale came back and took the lead with two goals in the third. Luca Primerano came in clutch with a last minute goal which got BWC to overtime, and then a shootout.

Yale won the shootout to claim the key extra point and take the upper hand on second place.

BWC followed the shootout loss up with three straight wins, though they’ll need to win out and have Yale lose to pass them.

It’s clearly a big-three in this division.

All of West Van (26-2-1), Yale, and BWC have a positive goal-differential over 100, while the next-best team is Delta (14-11-3) at a +22 differential.
