in regular season

November 26, 2018

The dream season continues for BWC’s Elite 15 team. They picked up two wins this weekend to improve to 19-1-1, and are now eight points clear of #2 Delta.

Burnaby won 4-2 against West Van (4-17-0), thanks to a four assist game from defenceman Marcus Taylor (3G-12A-15P).

They followed that up with another 4-2 win against Yale (7-8-1), where Rocco La (2G-0A), Michael Abgrall (1G-1A), and Chase Sandhu (0G-2A) each had multi-point games.

Bantam Prep goalie Kyle Kelsey gave Mason Dunsford a break and won his first game with the Elite 15 team, making 22 saves against West Van. Dunsford stopped 28 of 30 shots against Yale to pick up his division-leading 14th win.

BWC continues to pile up the goals, with 123 scored on the season, 26 more than the next-best offence, North Alberta Extreme. Similarly, their +69 goal differential leads the league.

Looking ahead…

BWC has just one game this upcoming weekend, another big match-up against Delta.

BWC got their lone regulation loss this season against Delta back on Nov. 10, so you can bet they’ll be looking for revenge.

The following weekend is another single game, with BWC hosting West Van, whom they just beat last weekend.

Following that it’s a four-game tourney weekend from Dec 14-16 at the River Cree Twin Rinks in Edmonton.

BWC will play some strong teams again there, facing Northern Alberta (14-4-1), Edge (8-7-3), Rink (12-5-2), and Prairie (12-7-0).
