CSSHL – BWC Elite 15 – 4-2 win over St. George’s

Team report:

BWC remains 1st in the Elite 15 division – and still undefeated in regulation – after a 4-2 win over St. George’s (6-4-0) last weekend.

St. George’s scored first and held a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes, but BWC responded with three goals in the middle frame en route to the victory.

Marcus Taylor and Matthew Carniel each had a goal and an assist in the game, while Luke Roberts picked up two assists.

Mason Dunsford continued his stellar play in goal for BWC, stopping 25 of 27 shots for his eighth win of the season.

With Northern Alberta (11-2-1) losing two games against Rink (9-4-0) last weekend, Burnaby is now alone atop the Elite 15 Division with a 12-0-1 record, 25 points in 13 games.

Their 88 goals for is 10 above the next-best team (Northern Alberta has 78), and their goal-differential is also the best in the division at +51.

Delta (11-1-1) has moved up to 2nd in the division after winning three games last weekend.

Burnaby has two games this upcoming weekend, including an important matchup against Delta.

They’ll take on Yale (6-5-1) on Friday, whom BWC beat 6-5 in their only other meeting this season.

BWC takes on Delta on Saturday in a battle of the division’s top teams, who have not yet played each other this year.
