The Estevan Bruins have announced that the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League club has signed Delta Hockey Academy forward Isaac Embree for the 2016-17 season.

Embree, 18, has spent the past three seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.

The Delta, BC product posted 43 points (19-24-43) in 35 games with the Delta Midget Prep team this past season, while also notching four points (2-2-4) in four post-season games, helping his team capture the 2016 CSSHL Midget Prep Division Championship.

“We are very happy for Isaac that he has been offered an opportunity to further his hockey development at the Junior A level,” said Delta Midget Prep head coach Scott May. “We wish him continued success and support at the next level.”

During the 2014-15 season, Embree registered 16 points (9-7-16) in 28 games with Delta Midget Prep. The previous season, the 6-foot-2, 209-pounder netted 23 points (13-10-23) in 23 games with the Delta Elite 15s team.

Overall, Embree amassed 82 points (41-41-82) and 240 penalty minutes in 86 career CSSHL games.
