Team Captain Darwin Schandor scored twice to lead the Surrey Eagles to an exciting game 7 victory vs Chilliwack Chiefs Sunday night in Chilliwack.
It was the first road win in the series – Surrey will now advance to face the #1 Coquitlam Express in the second round.
Schandor scored once in the first and again in the second to open a 2-0 lead before Surrey roared back late in the second to tie it up heading into the final frame.
Eagles’ Christian Fitzgerald got the eventual winner at the 12:12 mark of the third to clinch the win.
Schandor was named first star of the game, with second star going to Chilliwacks Clark Nelson, and the third to Eagle forward, Gabe Schovanek.
Schandor and Fitzgerald were the keys in the 4-3 game six win, as well, each scoring in the third on Saturday night, in a come from behind win that forced game 7.
