Liam Kindree of the Vancouver North West Giants has been named the Major Midget League (MML) Player of the Month for November 2016. The 5’11” forward from North Vancouver, BC tallied six goals and nine assists for a total of 15 points in just six games in November.
An assistant captain with the Giants, Kindree was selected by the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Kelowna Rockets in the fourth round of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. At the halfway point of the MML season, Kindree has 33 points (15 goals, 18 assists) in 19 games, and is second in the league overall in both goals and points.
Kindree was chosen from a high-calibre list of other nominees, including: Zach Wickson (Cariboo Cougars), Boston Bilous (Fraser Valley Thunderbirds), Michael Araki-Young (Greater Vancouver Canadians), Conner Seib (Kootenay Ice), Keaton Mastrodonato (North Island Silvertips), Luke Sheldrake (South Island Royals), Matthew Facchinelli (Thompson Blazers), Nolan Krogfoss (Valley West Hawks), and Ethan Leyh (Vancouver North East Chiefs).
