ECAC Rookie of the Week

Jayden Lee – Freshman – Quinnipiac University (Powell River Kings)

Lee scored his first-career goal on Saturday night, helping Quinnipiac earn a 3-1 win over Princeton in the front end of a home-and-home series. He also anchored an impressive defensive performance on Sunday while recording a season-high five shots on goal to help sweep Princeton in a home-and-home.

Lee played two years in the BCHL, the first with the Langley Rivermen and the second with Powell River. His breakout season came last year with the Kings where he had 36 points in 55 games to finish tied for 12th in scoring among all BCHL blueliners.

Lee played one year of Midget Prep at the Burnaby Winter Club as a first year midget (4G-18A, 22 pts, 28 games) before joining the junior ranks. Prior to joining the CSSHL team, Lee played two years of Bantam A1 at North Shore Winter Club.

Three other Lower Mainland alumni are also on the squad, Ethan de Jong (Sophomore – North Vancouver, PG Spruce Kings), Desi Burgart  (Sophomore – North Vancouver, Surrey Eagles), Ethan Leyh (First year, Anmore, Langley Rivermen).
