Lucic notches 500th NHL point

On Saturday, March 30th in Edmonton, Vancouver Giants alumnus/Edmonton Oilers forward Milan Lucic (Vancouver, B.C.) recorded his 500th career NHL point when he assisted on Sam Gagner’s third period goal against the Anaheim Ducks.

In 889 career NHL games, Milan Lucic has now recorded 198 career goals and 303 assists for 501 points along with 1070 penalty minutes.

He’s added 28 goals and 42 assists for 70 points in 114 career playoff games.

Lucic won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011. He’s the first Giants alumnus to register 500 career NHL points.

In 133 career regular season games with the Giants he notched 39 goals and 48 assists for 87 points. In 42 career playoff games he added 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points.

He helped the Giants capture a WHL Championship in 2006 and a Memorial Cup championship in 2007. He was named the 2007 Memorial Cup MVP and was named a 1st Team All-Star for the event.
