Ten BCHL players have made the NHL Scouting’s Final draft prospects list.

Heading the list are two players from Eastern Canada, both playing in Victoria for the Grizzlies.

Alex Newhook of Newfoundland tops the list, at #13 overall, with Alexander Campbell of coming in at #43 overall.

A third Victoria Grizzlies prospect, North Vancouver defenseman Carter Berger, is #157, after moving up 24 positions.

Another North Vancouver defenseman, Layton Ahac (above), is third among BCHL prospects, and the top BC-born BCHL product, at #62. Ahac moved up an incredible 56 spots from midterm rankings.

Two other BC born players are in the group. Center Massimo Rizzo of Burnaby, playing with the Penticton Vees is ranked 84, while Anmore’s Ethan Leyh, a left winger is ranked 167.

Most of the BCHL prospects are committed to NCAA colleges in the USA for next season.

In addition to the 10 BCHL prospects, three Alberta born players Junior A made the cut from the AJHL.
