The top three North Vancouver Bantam rep teams are doing well in the early going of regular season. The fourth team is struggling after three starts.

North Van Bantam A1 – Flight 3

The North Van A1 Storm entered the season ranked second in the Flight 3, slightly behind Vancouver A1. And they’re off to a great start after their first three games, posting two wins and a tie.

The team is three points out of first place behind North Delta, but has a game in hand.

Both wins were convincing, a 6-1 win over Semi A2 and a 10-1 thumping of PoCo A1.

The only blemish, a 5-1 loss to Seattle Junior Bantam.

In the week ahead, the team faces North Delta on Monday, and fourth place T-Birds Wednesday. A win against North Delta would close the gap to 1 or less, and still leave the team with a game in hand.

Points over the T-Birds would definitely put the team in the top tier of the Flight going into December.

North Van Bantam A2 – Flight 5

Although the North Van Bantam A2s posted just two wins, and no ties in 8 placement games, they only lost by just two goals in four of their losses.

The team has improved on that record in their first two regular season games, posting a 5-2 win over Burnaby and a 7-2 win over Chilliwack.

The only two teams ahead of them in the standings, Hollyburn (3-0-0) and West Van A1 (2-0-1) have both played an extra game.

The road ahead will be tougher though as both the Storm wins have come against teams that are struggling to earn points. Burnaby have 3 losses and a tie, which Chilliwack has four straight losses.

The team plays BWC A3 Sunday pm, and then are off til next Sunday, Dec 1, when they face the T-Birds.

North Van Bantam A3 – Flight 6

The A3s finished placement 4-4-0 in the middle of the pack of Group 7, in good shape to make a move going forward.

So far, in three regular season games, the Storm A3s have been in the thick of the action. All tough contests, starting with a 2-0 win over Abby, then two close losses: 3-1 to top ranked Cloverdale, and then 2-1 vs Vancouver A2.

The team is currently tied for second place with Langley, and are just three back of Cloverdale who are 3-0-0.

The team plays Richmond A2 (0-2-0) on Wednesday, and then host Ridge Meadows A3 (1-1-0) on Friday.

North Van Bantam A4 – Flight 7

While the season has started off with three tough losses and a 6GF vs 20GA record, the Storm A4s are only 2 points back of 4th place South Delta.
