For North Vancouver Bantam rep teams this year, placement results were mixed, with the top two teams finishing 5th and 8th respectively in Flights 3 and 5, while the A3s finished 4th in Flight 7 and the A4s 8th in Flight 9.

North Van Bantam A1

As anticipated the Bantam A1s have remained in Flight 3 for regular season, and should be very competitive there, as four teams finishing above them in placement were moved to Flight 2 (Abbotsford A1, Cloverdale A1, Port Moody A1 and Mission A1).

The North Van A1s are now ranked second in the Flight, slightly behind Vancouver A1.

Both of these top teams opened their regular season with wins last week, North Van A1s 6-2 over Semiahmoo A2s; and Vancouver A1s with a 4-1 win over PoCo A1.

Notable in the Flight was a tough three game week by Poco, who also lost to Surrey A2s and New West A1 to start their season.

North Van Bantam A2

Although the North Van Bantam A2s posted just two wins, and no ties in 8 placement games, they only lost by just two goals in four of their losses.

Like the A1s, the A2s will benefit from the movement of the top teams out of the group to higher Flights for regular season play.

A total of six teams were moved up, New West A1s at 6-0-0 went up two flights to Flight 3, while NSWC A3, Sno-Kings A-1, Cloverdale A2, Coquitlam A3 and Abby A3 moved to Flight 4.

As a result North Van A2s and Van T-Birds A3, who finished with identical 2-6-0 records in placement, will start the season as the top ranked teams in Flight 5.

In their season opener North Van A2s posted a 5-2 win over Burnaby A2s. Meanwhile the T-Birds A3s dropped their opener 4-3 to Langley A4.

North Van Bantam A3

The A3s finished placement 4-4-0 in the middle of the pack of Group 7 and will remain in their group, which includes 8-0-0 Cloverdale, in Flight 6 of regular season play.

The team opened their season with a 3-1 loss to the top ranked Colts, but will likely fare well in the group as regular season gets underway.

North Van Bantam A4

The A4 rep team started their season with a poor record in the placement round win column but lost three of their games by just one or two goals, so with some luck and effort could do well in the division once regular season play gets underway.

The team will play their first regular season game against South Delta Nov 17.
