North Vancouver bantam rep teams are gearing up for another year of competition in the PCAHA.
The Storm are again icing four teams, A1-A4.
Here’s a look the teams records from last season and an early outlook on the 2015-2016 season.
Bantam Storm A1
Last year the Storm Bantam A1s finished in ninth place in Flight 2 with a 5-14-1 record and will be looking to improve on that this year.
So far things are looking up, as the team has recorded a 5-3-2 record in exhibition play, with wins over Langley A2 (5-0), Surrey A1 (4-1), Vancouver A1 (5-4), and two vs North Delta A2s (6-3 and 9-8).
The two ties were against Van T-Birds A1 (2-2) and Vancouver A1 (1-1). The only blot on the record so far, a 9-0 thumping by T-Birds in the third exhibition game.
The A1s begin their placement round in Group 3 on October 7, with an home game at Harry Jerome vs Surrey A1.
Bantam Storm A2
Last year’s Bantam Storm A2 team finished second with a 11-6-3 record, 64 GF and 49 GA in Flight 4, two points behind PoCo A1.
The team was bumped out of Tier 2 playoffs with a 6-2 loss to North Delta A1-T2 in round 1. ND had finished 5th in Flight 2.
In the Presidents Series, the Storm A2 finished 3-3-2 in a three-way for second place.
The Storm A3s have started the season with a 3-3-3 record in exhibition play. Wins included two vs New West A1, and Langley A3.
Losses were against Seafair A2, T-Birds A2 and Coquitlam A2. Ties were with NSWC A3, Van T-Birds A2 and Coquitlam A2.
The Storm A2s open the placement round in Group 5, with a game vs Van T-Birds A3 on October 6 at Karen Magnussen Arena.
Bantam Storm A3
The Bantam A3 Storm finished the regular season last year in fourth place, with an 8-11-1 record, in Flight 6, with 66 GF and 74 GA.
In Tier 3 playoffs, the Storm advanced through Round 1 with a 5-4 win over Vancouver A2; before losing 7-5 and 3-2 to Langley A3s in the Round 2.
The A3s have finished their exhibition games with a recod of 5-5-3, with wins coming against Richmond A2, Po Co A2s, West Van A1, and two vs Surrey A3.
The team lost twice to Coquitlam A3s, and to Pt Moody A2 and Hollburn A2s, with ties against Arbutus A1 and Van T-Birds.
The A3 Storm opened placement on October 3 in Group 7, with a narrow 6-7 loss to Sunshine Coast.
Bantam Storm A4
The A4 Bantams finished in sixth place of Flight 7 last year, with a 5-14-1 record.
The team played one exhibition game, a 4-1 loss vs Arbutus A1.
