North Van Juvenile A1
North Vancouver is one of the few associations in the Lower Mainland to ice two teams in this 18-19 year old division.
This year both the A1 (Group 1) and A2 (Group 3) teams could be in tough after posting 2-5-1 and 1-7-0 placement records, in finishing in 5th and 7th place respectively.
The league opened last week with seven teams in Flight 1. Cloverdale (0-7-1) was moved down a Flight, while Coquitlam was moved up. Other teams include Langley, North Delta, Richmond, Ridge Meadows and Surrey.
The Storm A1 Juvie’s faced Surrey in the opener, and came out on the short end of a 4-1 decision. Surrey also got the upper hand in placement, 4-3. The team will play in Ridge Meadows Sunday night and at home vs. North Delta on Nov 18.
North Van Juvenile A2
As noted earlier the A2s didn’t have a great start in placement, and will remain in Flight 3 for the regular season, along with Aldergrove A2, Cloverdale A2, North Delta A2, Poco A1, Port Moody A1, Squamish A1 and Surrey A3.
Results of the team’s opening game against Squamish have not been posted yet.
