North Vancouver Storm Midget A2

The Storm Midget A2s (2-2-0) are currently in first place in Flight 3 with 8 points, tied with NSWC A2s (1-1-2) after four games.

But the top rank is 50% due to the Storm’s four sportsmanship points. Same for North Shore. Langley, with a better winning record (2-1-1) is a point behind the two leaders because they’ve posted just 2 sporties. Port Moody, the only other team to notch two wins so far, at 2-0-1, has none, and sit in fifth place with five points as a consequence.

Nevertheless, the Storm’s opening 4-2 win against Langley shows they can compete at the top of the division. They’ll need to be more consistent going forward, however, as the team dropped a 6-3 decision against Chilliwack and then lost 4-0 to Mission before righting the ship with a 4-1 W over Coquitlam on Thursday.

The team plays South Delta (1-0-2) at home Wednesday, then hit the road Thursday for a game in North Surrey (1-0-1).

South Delta will be tough, as they’ve tied NSWC and Chilliwack, and beat Coquitlam 2-1.

Surrey also have yet to drop a point, they’ve tied NSWC (1-1), and have posted a 3-0 win over the TBirds in their first two outings.

So a couple of big games ahead this week for the Storm Midget A2.
