The North Shore Winter Club’s most storied goaltender alumnus, Martin Jones, made his National Hockey League debut last night leading his Los Angeles Kings to a 3-2 shootout victory over the Anaheim Ducks.

Martin made 26 saves on 28 shots and remarkably stopped all 9 shooters in the shootout.

Martin, a 1990 born player, back stopped the most successful birth year in club history. During his 5 years at the club (2000 – 2005) he played at the AAA level each year, he never lost a game on home ice.

His teams won all 5 PCAHA League and Playoff championships, numerous tournament championships (including the Quebec International PeeWee tournament), and culminated in his final year at the club where he back stopped his team to the 2005 Provincial and Western Canadian Bantam Championships.

Congratulations Martin on yet another amazing accomplishment in what is still such a young career.
