The NSWC Bantam A1s returned to home turf from a strong showing at Medicine Hat, and showed a bit of tournament hangover syndrome in their first game of regular action on Thursday night vs the Semiahmoo Ravens, in White Rock.

The team lacked the intensity they brought to every game in the Hat, and struggled to find their game against a determined Semiahmoo squad, and came away with a 3-2 win on goals from Alemeida, Benjafield and Bellerive.

The next night the team faced off at home against the Surrey Eagles, and after a slow start found a bit of their old groove, closing out the game 5-2 on a pair of goals from Bellerive, and singles from Hannoun, Mohktari and Wong.

Captain Dante Hannoun figured in all five goals; with 4 assists to go along with the single.

After a day off, the Winterhawks returned to home ice Sunday night against the Burnaby Minor Bulldogs, and amped their game, with a 9-1 win.

Bellerive led the assault with a hat trick and an assist. Benjafield bagged two, and Anholt added three helpers.
