Here’s how things are shaping up early on in the Bantam Elite AAA bracket at the 5th Annual Pat Quinn Classic, being played in Burnaby over the holidays.

So far, the bracket is proving to be very competitive, with lots of ties, and many games decided by a single goal.

Cariboo Cougars (BCMBHL) lead with the only undefeated record after two games played.

The Cougars downed CAC Canadians (Edmonton) 2-1 yesterday, and Ft. Saskatchewan Rangers 3-2 today.

Five other teams are tied with 1W-OL-1T records – San Jose Jr. Sharks U14, BWC Academy Prep (CSSHL), Shawnigan Lake Academy (CSSHL), Greater Vancouver Canadians (BCMBHL) and Valley West Giants (BCMBHL).

San Jose shutout Okanagan Rockets 3-0 yesterday afternoon, and then tied Fraser Valley Thunderbirds 3-3 this morning.

BWC and GVC tied 4-4 in their openers yesterday. BWC then downed CAC 8-0 today, while GVC edged Arizona Jr. Coyotes 2-1 this morning.

Shawnigan opened with an 8-2 decision over Arizona Bobcats 14U, and then tied Valley West 3-3 this morning.

Valley West had opened with a 3-2 win over Fraser Valley Thunderbirds last night.
