PCAHA GVC Atom A1 – First Half

At the end of 12 games leading up to the Christmas break, three teams are battling for the top spot in the Greater Vancouver division for Atom hockey in the Lower Mainland.

NSWC are current leading the pack with a 11-1-0, 67 GF – 24 GA record, their single loss a 7-1 shellacking at the hands of BWC in the final game before the break.

The Winterhawks downed the Bruins 4-3 in their first meeting, November 11, but were outshot by a wide margin in the game.

Vancouver Thunderbirds are in second place with a 10-2-0 record, same as the Bruins, but are point ahead in the standings due to an extra sportsmanship point, 10 vs BWC’s 9.

The A1 Bruins have the best GF-GA record, 75 GF vs just 18 GA but the T-Birds are close behind with 71-19.

The top three teams are leading the rest of the pack by a good margin. Richmond are in fourth place with 8-4-0 record .

BWC’s A2s are in fifth place at 5-7-0, 29-42, two points ahead of Seafair, and three points ahead of North Vancouver.

In seventh place, Vancovuer TBirds A2s at 1-8-3 and Hollyburn at 1-10-1.
