The stage is now set for the first ever PCAHA Atom A1 Final 4 competition. Three of the Top 4 favorites advanced through the quarterfinals.
BWC A1 are coming in as the #1 ranked team, after eliminating #8 BWC A2, in two straight, 10-0 and 13-0.
Langley A1 are the #2 team, coming from behind to down #7 ranked Surrey A1 in a series that went the four-game distance. The teams tied 3-3 in game one, then Surrey took game two, 4-3, before Langley got even at home with a 6-3 win, and then closed out with a 4-2 W in Surrey.
The Richmond Jets A1 vs NSWC A1, went three games, with #3 Richmond prevailing 5-3 in game one, tying 3-3 in game two, and then posting a 5-0 shutout in game three.
The #5 ranked Cloverdale A1 upset #4 Semiahmoo A1, in another series that went four games, wrapping up last Sunday, March 3. The teams each won a game, Semiahmoo 4-2 in game one, and Cloverdale 2-1 in game two, before tying 3-3 in game three to set up the do or die game four. Cloverdale came up on top 6-4 to advance.
The Final 4 series will be hosted in Surrey, starting Saturday, March 9.
