PCAHA Bantam A1 race goes down to the wire – NSWC or BWC?

With a 4-4 tie against the Vancouver T-Birds, and no sportsmanship point on Thursday night (Jan 29), NSWC Bantam A1s retain first place with a 16-0-3 record, but are just two points ahead of BWC, who sit at 15-1-3. Both teams have one game left to play in the regular season on Saturday night.

However NSWC just need a single point in their final game to win the banner, even if BWC grabs all three points available in their final game. This would leave both teams tied with 52 points, but NSWC would advance on the head to head tie breaker.

Should the Winterhawks get into penalty trouble again and lose the game, a different scenario could play out.

In their previous matchup vs Hollyburn November 30, North Shore narrowly prevailed, 4-3 over the Huskies. This time the game will be played in the Huskies home rink at Hollyburn, which definitely adds an advantage to the home team.

The Bruins will face off against Ridge Meadows on Saturday night. The two teams last matched up on December 2, with BWC edging out Ridge with a 3-2 win.

(Just in BWC win 7-0).

Coming into the game, Ridge Meadows are 3-3-1 in the New Year, while the Bruins are 6-0-1.

So, could be a very interesting finish Saturday night.

Stay tuned!
