 Tier 1 Peewee Final Four

In the end it was a perfect closed loop. Seafair Islanders closed out arch-rival BWC 4-1 in the final game of the regular PCAHA season, to claim the league title.

The Islanders had opened their season with a 3-0 win over BWC in game 1, then lost 3-1 just before Christmas before winning the #1 vs #2 seed final game March 2.

The Islanders posted a perfect 3-0 record in the series, downing NSWC 5-2, and Langley 2-1 in their first two games.

BWC came to the final with a 5-3 win over Langley, and 7-4 win over NSWC.

The Bruins will be looking to even the score one final time, when the two teams meet again in Prince George in two weeks.

How they got to Final 4, Round 3 results:

#1 BWC recorded two easy wins over #8 Coquitlam to advance.

#2 Seafair also won both games handily, 6-1 and 7-1 vs #7 Hollyburn.

#4 Langley A1 defeated #5 Cloverdale in four games, win a 4-0 final game on Feb 22.

Background:

BWC A1 and Seafair A1 have been by far the two toughest teams in the league so far this year. BWC finished the season 17-1-2, the Islanders 16-2-2. North Shore and Langley were a respectable 13-6-1 and 12-6-2 but clearly a step down from the two leaders in regular season play.

BWC and Seafair both fared well at the recent Quebec International Peewee tournament, whereas NSWC failed to score in their first two games and were knocked out early. Langley were not in the tournament.
