The Canadian Sports School Hockey League kicked off it’s new season last night, with a single Midget Prep division game at the Okanagan Hockey Training Centre in Penticton.

After a scoreless first that saw the visiting PoE club edge OHA White 8-6 on the shot clock, it was pretty much all PoE after that.

PoE outshot White 16-1 in the second, to take a 2-0 lead on markers from Patrick Ferrie midway through the period, and from Parker Laughton, with just 33 seconds left. Each team took a pair of minors.

PoE fired 15 more shots on OHA’s Alex Bugeja in the third, scoring three, vs OHA’s five shots on Ashton Billesberger,

Jakob Jones, Isaac Suppin and Justin Nakagawa got the third period goals. Suppin (1G-1A), Nik Teale (2A), and Jaxon Gibbings (2A) lead on the offensive stats sheet.

Bugeja finished 34-39, while Billesberger was 12-12.

OHA Red will travel to Winfield to face PoE Saturday afternoon, OHA White will play the rematch Sunday in Winfield.
