It may not last for long, but for now Ridge Meadows Bantam A1 are at the top of Flight 2 in PCAHA Bantam action. The team has played 4 games in the first week of action and leads the flight with 10 points.

Chilliwack is in second place with 8 points, three games in.

The rest of the flight, except for Port Moody, have played just two games. Five teams are in a pack with either 5 or 4 points. South Delta and BWC A2 have 5, Burnaby, Cloverdale and Port Moody have 4.

Bringing up the rear, Langley, Abby and NSWC A2, all winless in two games.

NSWC has been playing with 7 forwards, with two of their top offensive players out with broken arms. Langley started off with a 7-0 loss vs BWC A2, but then rebounded in the second game, losing 2-1 to Ridge Meadows. Abby’s two losses were both by a single goal.

So lots could change in a short time within this division. Cloverdale has beaten Ridge Meadows and could move up quickly. But teams to watch are probably South Delta at 2-0 and BWC A2.

South Delta plays NSWC Friday, and BWC A2 play Cloverdale Saturday. NSWC are back on the ice Saturday vs Chilliwack.

Mission also plays two games this weekend. Wins against Langley on Friday, and Burnaby on Sunday would shoot them up to the top echelon. Langley will want the win to prevent an 0-3-0 start.
