
The Kelowna Rockets continue to lead the 22 team Western Hockey League.
The Rockets with a 33-9-3-1 record, have a one point lead and a game in hand on second place Brandon Wheat Kings, who lead the Eastern Conference, at 33-9-3-1 and 70 points.
The two teams are ranked second and third in all of Canada; the OHL’s Oshawa Generals are ranked first.
Both the Rockets and Wheat Kings have opened solid leads over the second place teams. In the Eastern Conference, the Wheat Kings are 8 points ahead of Medicine Hat, though the Tigers have two games in hand.
In the West, the Rockets have an 11 point lead on second place Everett Silvertips, and an 18 point lead on the Portland Winterhawks and Victoria Royals.
Not surprisingly, both teams are leading the offensive scoring stats, with the Tigers in the top two spots and the Rockets at the three and four spots:
