The Rockets had opened a 2-1 lead in the first, and then stretched it to 4-2 and the end of two before Brandon clawed their way back to 4-3 at 10:46 of the third.
Leon Draisaitl got the first one shorthanded and unassisted at 6:35 of the first, before Morgan Klimchuk tied it up for the Wheat Kings on the power play at 7:48.
Kelowna then scored the next three on goals from Gage Quinney (Chartier, Merkley); Dillon Dube (Quinney, Tyson Baillie), and Chartier (Madison Bowey, Merkley), before the Wheat Kings Nolan Patrick drew the game to 4-2 at the end of two.
Brandon struck again on a goal from Tim McGauley midway through the third to give eastern champions some hope, before the Merkley, Chartier, Draisaitl juggernaut closed out the game.
Jackson Whistle got the win facing 29 shots, while Jordan Papimy took the loss on 32 shots.
